Should you meet your country better?

Have you realized how many people prefer traveling to some far away countries when they still haven't explored their own country better? Why is that so? Probably because we, humans, think in a way where we fantasize about some distant things and countries as better than ours. We can also blame movies and TV too for that. They always represent us some foreign countries as better than ours.

Do you want to meet your country better? Follow the guide below and do it as a professional!

  1. Your last name. When we come to age, we tend to think about where our elders came from. You will probably want to find out what your last name means and how you originally got it. Be sure to check online and find the meaning of it (you can check at Ancestry.com). In that case, you will see how different families lived in the different parts of your country. You will also see how they moved a lot and in which ways.
  1. Travel. First of all, you should learn everything about your city or a village. Have you really seen all those lakes and woods that surround you? What about parks and museums? Start from your own city or a village. You would be amazed by how many people don't even know so many places that exist in the place they live for their whole lives.

After you have completely explored the place where you live, start traveling all around your country. The best advice is always not to follow some fancy and famous destination but explore on your own.

Do you like history? If you do, be sure that you see all the museums, churches, and other cultural places that exist near you. If you prefer nature more, be sure that you go camping with your friends or family.

Go step by step until you completely ''meet'' your country better. You will be amazed how beautiful it actually is!
